It’s our annual and totally yummy annual potluck and meeting. In some ways, this is our most important meeting of the year, the time when we elect new officers, fill committees, and vote on our annual budget.
Please bring your favorite main dish or dessert to share along with a card identifying the ingredients. We will start at 6 p.m. with the doors opening at 5:30 pm.
Meeting will be held at the Lebanon Methodist Church, 18 School St. Lebanon, NH
July 10 – we will have Carla Klop and she will do a workshop on Friday, July 12. Visit www.kitsbycarla.com for some inspiration.
May 8 – Program –
The speaker for May will be a mystery. We are waiting to hear from one person and if not them we have a backup lined up.
Aren’t mysteries fun!
The meeting will be held at the Lebanon Methodist church, 18 School Street, Lebanon, NH beginning at 6:30 p.m.
April 10 – Program –
Our biennial show is this month. April’s meeting will involve last minute preparations for the quilt show. There will be no other program. Please bring any items for the NLQG Show to the meeting (Bags, Baskets, Bowls, Mini-Auction quilts, Books, and quilts) if you are a member. The May program will have a mystery speaker, still to be decided. The June program will include elections and pot luck dinner, we will begin at 6 p.m. rather than the usual start time. July we will be having Carla Klop followed by a workshop on Friday the 12th.
We are seeing snippets of Spring! Woo Hoo!
Our Biennial Show is Saturday, April 27 & Sunday, April 28, 2019 at the Richmond Middle School, 63 Lyme Road, Hanover, NH.
Please join us for annual unveiling of the 2019 Challenge Quilts. This year’s challenge involved using the use of fat quarters provided by Haphazard Quilting. There will be three winners, please help select them.
The categories that they will be judged on are:
- Best use of Fabric,
- Most Original
- Viewer’s Choice.
It is always fun to see our members take on the challenge and to see the talents our members have.
The meeting will be held at the Lebanon Methodist Church, 18 School Street, Lebanon, NH beginning at 6:30 p.m.
Due to the pending snow storm and icy conditions making driving conditions potentially treacherous, the NLQG meeting tomorrow night (February 13th) will be postponed until Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at 6 p.m. The evening potluck and mug rug exchange will be the same. The meeting will still be held at the Methodist Church in Lebanon, NH.
Please pass the word along to anyone who might be interested in this information.
February 13 – Program – February’s program will be the potluck that we did not have in January. Our activity will be a mug rug swap done as a Yankee Swap, so please consider joining the fun and make a valentine inspired mug rug. The meeting begins early at 6 p.m.
March is the challenge. April is going to be devoted to the quilt show for all of the last minute details that need to be worked out.
As usual, the meeting will be at the Methodist church, 18 School St. Lebanon, NH

We are excited to have Beth Helfter of EvaPaige Quilt Designs for our December 12th meeting presenting “Oompah! Accordion Sewn HSTs™” You can see her fabulous quilts at https://evapaigequilts.com
the Trunk Show is – “Oompah! Accordion Sewn HSTs™” What happens when you have a designer who not only wants to be as scrappy as possible but also hates wasting fabric? Well, all sorts of things, because that’s pretty much the definition of scrappy. But I took it one step further, and figured out a way to create HSTs that don’t have a twin, and waste no fabric, by sewing HSTs in “accordions.” Add another step, and you can sew the blocks for an entire quilt in individual accordions that come together almost like magic. It’s the coolest thing I’ve ever come up with (if I do say) and you’ll see the quilts from my book “Oompah! Jazz Up Your Scrap Quilts With the Accordion Sewn HSTs Method” plus a few surprise treats. You’ll want to pick up your accordion and join the oompah sensation!
As usual, the meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. at the Methodist Church, 18 School Street in Lebanon, NH.
