November – Community Service Combined workday and monthly meeting. Sewing begins at Noon!
Come out and join us at whatever time you can for our first combined NLQG workday/meeting. The doors to the church will open at 12:00 noon for folks to sew all in support of our guild. We will be working on projects to support community service efforts or the “Pods for the Pulpit” fundraiser. Bring your sewing machine, or iron/board, or mat/cutting tools – or just bring yourself to pitch in where you can.
The formal part of our meeting will be informal, and pushed back to 7:30 p.m. for Business/Name Tag/Block of the Month/Show and Tell. Where there is sewing, there are sweets and great food! We’ll plan to eat supper at 5:30 p.m., bring your own, something to share – or takeout is not far away. We owe it to ourselves to take time to spend with friends and learn from each other. And remember… quilting is cheaper than therapy (unless you add up the cost of our machines, fabric, notions, etc.), but who’s counting! Hope to see you there!
