Guild History

The Northern Lights Quilt Guild (NLQG) began in 1982 with a small group of local women who became interested in quilting. They first met in people’s homes and moved to monthly meetings at the Howe Library in Hanover, NH, as more people joined the guild. Around 1995, meetings were moved to the Lebanon United Methodist Church, where they continue to be held.

Members are interested in many quilting types, styles and techniques. They have in common a love of quilts and a desire to learn, improve their skills and share knowledge with one another. There are as of this writing over sixty active members from many Upper Valley communities and beyond, and new visitors and members are always most welcome.
